It is a case that we need a more varied moderation team so I propose we have a larger team of mods that goes on more than a popularity contest.

I suggest the following team should they accept and be accepted.

NikPV (already assigned)

Ivor E Towers

Gooner52

BigJeeze

Gregers

Cepheus

Matt Jr

Bigdaddy

Dave-G

You may guess how I come up with these names

Of course it's got nothing to do with me, but that looks like a great list.

(Also MattJr should have *loads* of time, as he's a student. :) )

Erm me-thinks there's a twist there somewhere - but you know me, I dont do subtle, Best say it clearer.

Cmon now - spill the beans Glen, is it cos I want to have the edit feature back?

I can rarely get it all out in one attempt - I have to post then reconsider a few times

Oops nearly posted only to follow up with another post 'cos I cant edit... Whats with moving the smileys to somewhere less conveinient?

Not complaining - just curious/confused

If you're going to be a moderator, you'll need a more 'moderate' avatar. :)

I feel greatly honoured....

....but not sure that I spend sufficient time here to censor the worst of the posts. I cannot access the site at work except occasionally during my lunch-break (when I'm not on e-bay etc etc)

Blimey - thanks for the reminder Ivor.

I too feel greatly honoured Glen and thank you for the consideration. The feeling that I may qualify is probably mis-placed however if the shamefull truth be known.

You have already seen how easily I can be side tracked - and a poor attention span has been with me since the days I got the blackboard pointer across my finger tips for daydreaming out the classroom window in secondary school. I'm baring my soul a little here - but feel it's the best way to explain why I'd be a poor choice for the responsibility that moderating carries.

I simply could not be trusted to always do the right thing, in addition to the fact that I am for the most part "instruction blind" That is to say I cannot absorb written instruction - I would need to be shown how to do things a couple of times - I kid you not. Thats also partly why I so desperately miss the edit feature - to cover my slightly dyslexic shortcoming.

I also lack tact and etiquette - and regularly get chided for my sense of humour too.

I think the rest of the list looks like a very good choice, all long serving active members of the forum, but me? dunno why I'm there lol

However, I'd be honoured to do the job, if accepted by my peers to do so.

i agree with paul .the members left on the list would do a great job

i feel i spend great deal of time on the forum to do a great job..

as would paul and mjr ,

i think the forum has moved forward in leaps and bounds, over the last year

and a lot of thanks for that is to glen/maz/and neil( you have all done wonders)

and the last thing we would want ,is to go backwards again...

The list is a good broad range of sensible well spoken, helpfull and capable candidates - each of who meet my approval.

All the best to whover accepts and are accepted.

i thank you all for the vote of confidence, but i do have my reservations

1/ im only on the forum in the evenings

2/i lack tech knowledge of cars and computers

3/i feel that owning a zafira is maybe not in the ethos of a ford galaxy forum

and this one i feel quite strongley about that i pmd nik

so i will give it great thought and have a chat with a few members who ive come to know over the years.

i feel(as i have said to few of you)that this forum has moved on from just being a site to fix problems to our cars,to become some form of a community for the die hards here :16:

regards as normal gregers
